No special preparation is necessary. It may be useful to bring the tools you normally use for dental care so that the hygienist can advise you on how to use them properly. If you have any problems, it is advisable to inform the hygienist in advance.

Usually not, but more sensitive patients may experience mild discomfort. If necessary, a numbing gel can be used.
